I am a writer, poet, lawyer, teacher, horsewoman, artist, mother, wife, daughter, and employee, –none always or necessarily in that order. With certainty, all these pursuits are about communicating, reaching out to experience the world and the amazing people, creatures, and flora in it. Traveling the world over has proved how diverse and at the same time, alike, the human experience can be. Writing is about language, the medium we use to express feelings so much more profound than words can capture. So we reach out with art and music and explore the world with all our senses, on the single journey we have, always outward bound from an inner expression. Though well traveled my family roots are in Erie County, Ohio, in the heart of land known historically as the Firelands. This beautiful historic area has been tourist mecca for over a hundred years. I am currently working on a travel book centered on Sandusky, Ohio that has renewed my appreciation for the many and varied places and activities that are available in my own “backyard.”
